About

Events & Conferences

Event interpretation services provide real-time language access for multilingual audiences at conferences, meetings, trainings, public forums, and educational programs. ILG approaches event interpretation as a coordinated service, not simply an interpreter assignment. We assess the setting, audience, languages, format, and logistics to build the language-access plan around the event.

Interpreter preparation.
When materials and context are available, interpreters receive information in advance so they can prepare for the setting, terminology, and purpose of the event.
Equipment and logistical planning.
For simultaneous interpretation or specialized event logistics, equipment and setup considerations become part of the planning process.
Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation.
The interpretation method is selected according to the communication environment, audience size, and event structure.
Multilingual coordination.
Events with multiple languages involve more than filling individual assignments. We coordinate interpreter teams and language coverage across the program.
Interpreter selection.
Interpreters are selected according to the language, setting, subject matter, and delivery method of the assignment.
Strategic planning and language-access coordination.
We review the event format, audience, languages, schedule, and subject matter before determining the interpretation approach.
What Clients Say

Thank you all SO much for all your support last night with our PTO meeting. I thought it all worked out beautifully, and that could not have happened without your help. Huge shout-out and thank you to Dennis for his diligence and time with helping to walk me through all the steps and even staying on to facilitate the smooth transition to the interpreters for our parent participants.

Common Questions

About ILG event interpretation.

Do you support virtual and hybrid events?

Yes. ILG supports in-person, virtual, and hybrid interpretation depending on the communication environment and service requirements.

Can ILG coordinate several languages at the same event?

Yes. Multilingual coordination is an important part of our event work. We coordinate multiple interpreters and language pairs within the same event based on identified needs.

What about interpretation equipment?

Equipment requirements depend on the size, format, venue, and interpretation method. ILG incorporates equipment considerations into the planning process when they are relevant to the event.

Can ILG coordinate simultaneous interpretation?

Yes. ILG supports consecutive and simultaneous interpretation, matched to the event format, audience, and logistical requirements.

How much lead time should we provide for an event?

Advance notice provides the strongest opportunity to match interpreters and plan multilingual logistics. Larger events, multiple-language programs, and simultaneous interpretation generally require additional preparation. Urgent requests are evaluated based on availability and scope.
